Every morning I wake up and make it up as if I’ve never done it before.
I wrote that in 2015 for my publisher’s blog. Alas, it’s still true. I’m also slow and highly distractible. Frankly it’s amazing I ever complete anything. When I do, I often have an artists residency to thank. This image depicts my desk at Writers at the Eyrie, the Brooklyn residency where, in the fall of 2019, I completed the manuscript for Strange Trouble, which I hope will become my second book.
